INGOs
Working with the public sector require understanding of local issues and needs. SPBS members have such experience and know-how to assist INGO’s in finding appropriate solutions. We assist INGOs with:
- Country inception report. Provide an analysis of the salt situation in order to provide guidance for salt producers and major stakeholders.
- Feasibility study. Explore various operational scenarios in order to solve specific issues addressed by the strategy.
- Supply chain analysis. Undertake assessment of procurement and distribution systems both for salt and inputs used in the manufacturing and iodization of salt such as potassium iodate (KIO3) and other materials.
- Iodizing work plan. Develop thorough iodizing work plans with clear steps and milestones to bring to scale the Universal Salt Iodization (USI) global program.
- Iodate supply revolving fund. Install sustainable iodate supply revolving fund in order to ensure an ongoing supply to all salt producers in the country.
